Basalt fiber reinforced polymer (BFRP) is a composite reinforcement material made by combining high-strength basalt fibers with synthetic resins, fillers, curing agents, etc., which is then drawn into shape and cured at high temperatures.
Advantages
* Corrosion-resistant, salt spray-resistant, and freeze-thaw-resistant
* Lightweight and high-strength, with a specific gravity 1/4 that of steel and a strength 3-4 times that of steel
* Thermal expansion coefficient close to that of cement
* Easy to cut and convenient to construct
* Insulating and low thermal conductivity
* Rust-resistant
